  1. Hi domesticdivaMD, Wow! I am honored that you would look at my post. You are witty, educated beyond the norm and down to earth which makes an incredible combination. Can you explain how all of this works and if I am being naive about why I occasionally get emails from completely unrelated bloggers who like my post?

    1. Actually, I found your blog posts about the pumpkin cheesecake and the faux crab cakes and thought they looked delicious- I thought I’d follow you to see what other recipes you post in the future! πŸ™‚ I normally look through the tags or pinterest to find other good recipes.

And honestly I am quite horrible at dating and pretty much anything that isn’t housewifery or medicine…I might be doomed. Don’t think I’m that accomplished. πŸ˜‰

    2. Apparently, you love Fiesta Ware as much as I do. There’s nothing tastier-looking than delicious food served on a Fiesta plate!

      1. I might have 14 place settings…

  2. I love your blog…humor and recipes, just what the doctor ordered!

  3. Just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your recipes and anecdotes. I am also excited to see that you’re in Ann Arbor–I’m a Michigan alum!

    1. Thank you! And it’s always nice to “meet” another Michigan student, even if it’s via blogging!

  4. Hello! I’ve nominated you for The Versatile Blogger award, because I enjoy your blog and think other people will enjoy it, too, if they have any sense. Here’s my post with all the info: http://thisisrocksalt.com/2012/02/08/the-versatile-blogger-award

    Cheers!

    1. Thank you so much!! It’s been a crazy busy week, but I’ll check that out ASAP! πŸ™‚

  5. Thank you for following my recipemenagerie blog! After viewing your site, I am impressed at your spirit and versatility. I can see you’re a high energy person: Going to med school and cooking too! I took two classes in a nutrition science curriculum; loved learning about nutrition but the science wore me out. Best of luck – you go girl!

  6. Thanks so much for the follow! I really appreciate it. I read some of your posts and they are really funny. Keep up the good work πŸ™‚

  7. Love your style of writing. Fun and food. Keep in mind these compliments are coming from a life long Buckeye….

    1. Oh they mean so much more knowing that πŸ˜‰

  8. I just wanted to say thanks for following my blog! I figured this was the best place.

  9. Your posts are great! I am enjoying reading all your hard work! Nice work on the Med school! So happy to read more on your blog. any posts with go go dancer in it get a dadys attention…go go dancer u r too much!

    1. My father has had many worse shocks than that thanks to my brothers. πŸ˜‰

  10. Hi, just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for stopping by my blog! Many thanks for becoming a follower also, though, I do feel I need to warn you that most posts will not include tales of yummy food but revolve around a story in the works being completed via blog. The story includes two vegetarian vampires (meaning human is not on the menu) and a zombie who can only eat fish though – hopefully that helps!

    1. No worries- I’m okay with that. πŸ™‚

  11. Just wanted to say ‘hi’ and thanks for following my blog πŸ™‚

  12. Always dreamed of being a Domesstic Diva, but I have never made it … love the profile name. I’m a Diva in with my pots and pans – plus sometimes when I travel.
So I’m going to follow you now and … smiles I can’t get enough off. Have a great weekend.

  13. Hi, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award πŸ™‚ http://intoleranceisbliss.wordpress.com/2012/02/26/the-versatile-blogger-award-sharing-the-love/

  14. I just wanted to thank you for signing up to follow my blog. I love the story of the boob!

  15. thanks for following my blog πŸ™‚ I’m now hooked on your funny stories and yummy food πŸ™‚

  16. I was about to say the exact same thing as Marnelli! Loved your emergency department story.

  17. Heyyyy :DDD thanks so much for liking my blog, it’ll be lovely if you like it on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Way-Chaimaa-Sees-It/272877519451361 and promote it to your friends and family, im trying to get more fans on it, thanks πŸ˜€

  18. Thanks for the follow! I like what you’ve done here, especially the catch phrase of being raised as the perfect housewife before you went to med school … that had me laughing a bit.

I’ll be coming by to check your blog out πŸ™‚ Keep up the great work and I hope you stop by again, too!

    Best,
    Javi

  19. Why don’t you skip dating altogether and go straight to housewife and MD?? You have a way with words, a talent for food, and the ability to help people and earn a living; sounds like all the right ingredients.

    1. I’ll have the MD in 10 weeks- might as well start there!

      1. Congratulations! I am sure your mother is more than pleased at all your achievements – and you still have time to add many more to the list.
Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. While the focus isn’t food, that’s the commodity that gets all of us through each day and, if it isn’t fun to buy, cook, prepare, and eat, life isn’t worth living.
Good for you for being so interested, persistent, and adaptable – a winning combination in the kitchen and in life.

  20. Megs, hello there! Thank you for following my blog (http://smilekiddo.wordpress.com/) – I’m flattered! I also really like your writing style – and am delighted that you are a strong woman in both domestic and professional pursuits. You go girl! πŸ™‚

  21. Hello! Since you’re following our site, I wanted to mention that we’re moving our site to our main homepage at ppbc.com/blog and also invite you to follow us over there since the current site will be going away. Thanks a bunch and God bless!

    Arlene

  25. Thank you for following my blog. Yours is amazing. I mean, I cannot cook well. There were times that I bake simple cookies. But I am limited to that. I wish I could cook good food like you do. WIll look forward to more of your recipes πŸ™‚

  26. Hi domestic diva! Great blog, I love your writing style and your stories! I’ve never been one to use recipes (this could be laziness, but I prefer to look at it creative!) but I think I’ll start now that there’s a little story with every recipe πŸ™‚

  27. Congrats on your match! I work for a residency, we have seven newbies starting in July. I love when the new kids start, they are always SOO excited. πŸ™‚

  41. Hello! Or should I say – G’day! Thanks for following my blog at http://www.inthemixtricks.com.

I am sort of like you – in that my mother did all she could to raise a housewife, but I seriously let her down. Until I turned 40, and that’s exactly what I’ve become since then…and, I sort of like it! Well, I like the cooking part now – and that’s something I despised for so many years.

  65. I’m definitely enjoying following your blog – both the food and the sass can make my day. Just realized you’re at U of M – I did my grad school there, and have twice lived in the A-squared area – missing it now! You once kindly liked my blog post on braces-friendly cooking for tender teeth. I very much appreciate that and now want to tell you I’ve launched a new-and-improved braces-friendly website at http://www.MetalMouthMedia.net, with the blog all rolled into it. Maybe you can pass along the info to someone you know in braces. Best wishes with your studies and work and domestic adventures.

  66. Hi and thanks for looking at my new little blog! I look forward to reading more of yours πŸ™‚

  67. Hi Ma’m, I’m really honoured to gain your recognition! It’s really a confidence booster for a newbie food blogger like me. I’ll try to bring more uniquely Singaporean food onto the ‘table’, and once again, thank you so much for following my blog at titillatedtastebuds.wordpress.com πŸ™‚

    1. If it makes you feel any better, there’s no way I could make it through law school πŸ˜‰

  78. You made me laugh. I’ve not heard anyone refer to a bennie for years since I lived in Pt. Pleasant and worked at an Italian buffet on the beach.

    1. I think it’s a mandatory term in Point Pleasant (or Point Pleasant Beach).

  79. Thanks for finding me today. Your blog is really good – I look forward to reading more!

  80. I’m amazed that you have an up to date blog during residency!! How do you find the time?! I’m a pharmacist, and I don’t work nearly as much as you.. but I am having a hard time finding time to try and get a blog going. Some tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    1. What I do is write as many posts/recipes as possible when I do have time. WordPress has apps for the iPhone/Droid, so then if I have a quick second during the day I can just submit one of the posts I’ve already written. It’s also relaxing for me to cook and blog, and I know I’m far less stressed and far more healthy when I’m eating things I’ve cooked myself.

I’ve got a few friends at work who also blog so we remind each other to post regularly. Plus my boyfriend always tells me to bring out the camera whenever I’ve cooked dinner!

I hope those tips help! Let me know if you’d like any more. πŸ™‚

  81. Thanks for following! Love your recipes and many of them will be easy for me to recreate with THRIVE Life! Looking forward to many more tales (and good eats.) Cheers!

  82. Hello there! I’m just dropping by to notify you that I’ve given you “The Very Inspiring Blogger Award” here: http://rachieadventures.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/the-very-inspiring-blogger-award-15-bloggers-7-facts-about-rachie/ – I hope you have a lovely day!

  85. With a huge smile, I have nominated you for a Super Sweet Blogger award. You can go to my blogsite to get all the particulars. Congratulations! http://kanzensakura.com

  86. Hi Megs!

Hope you’re well and the hand has healed! I wanted to thank you for being a subscriber to my blog and let you know of some changes to my site.

A couple of months ago, I moved to a self hosted site. While the link remains the same and I could move all my subscribers over without a hitch, I just found out that my WordPress followers like yourself would have to visit my new site and resubscribe to it if you wanted to keep receiving email notifications every time I posted (which I’m hoping you do!).

I just wanted to bring this to your attention. I’m reaching to all my lovely fellow WordPress followers because I’ve loved the interaction I’ve had with all of them even if it was just a plain old ‘like’!

Have a great day and happy holidays!

    Best,

    Sujatha
